MnDOT Submits Unchanged DBE Program Goal of 11.7 Percent for Final Approval
The Minnesota Department of Transportation this week submitted their 2016-2018 Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program overall goal of 11.7 percent to the Federal Highway Administration for final approval and certification. The 11.7 percent goal remains unchanged from the draft goal that was announced and submitted for public comment on July 3.
AWC submitted a formal letter for public comment comments suggesting the goal be adjusted downward due to a number of changes in the current DBE directory and a methodology we were not comfortable with. The previous three-year program goal was 11.3 percent, which was never met and is currently trending at only 6%.
