The Department of Administration’s Office of Equity in Procurement (OEP) and the Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) are offering a free half-day webinar event targeted for Women-owned businesses in celebration of Women’s History Month.
This free event, “Positioning Women Owned Businesses for Success in Government Contracting,” will take place on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 (9am to 1:00pm).
Invited speakers for this event include Commissioner Alice Roberts-Davis of the state’s Department of Administration and Commissioner Steve Grove from the Department of Employment and Economic Development. Topics to be covered include an overview of the state’s contracting with Women-owned businesses, a presentation on doing business with the state, a live demonstration of some of the technology used by the state for registering as a potential provider of goods and/or services, locating and responding to opportunities, and applying for certification in the state’s Small Business Procurement Program.
We will also highlight resources offered by many organizations we have partnered with on past events. Invited resources include: The Association of Women Contractors, MnDOT’s Office of Advancing Equity, DEED’s Small Business Development Center, the Small Business Administration, Women’s Business Development Center and Women Venture.
Wrapping up the day with “Office Hours” after the event, staff from the OEP and PTAC teams, as well as from some of our invited resource partners, will be available to answer your questions and provide additional information on our programs.
