J&L Steel & Electrical Services has been awarded a contract to install the reinforcing steel, post tension and electrical materials on the superstructure (main span) of the St. Croix Crossing Bridge project.
The company, led by Owner and C.E.O. LouAnne Berg, has been working on the west approach since the spring of 2013. J&L completed the piers under a subcontract with Kraemer & Sons.
In early December the Minnesota and Wisconsin Departments of Transportation approved a $332.5 million contract with the Lunda/Ames Joint Venture to construct the St. Croix Crossing bridge superstructure of which J&L Steel & Electrical Services will be working as a subcontractor.
The total project cost remains at $580-$676 million. Read the entire press release here…
