“We don’t guarantee that you’ll get contracts just by becoming an AWC member. But if you actively participate, you will gain the education, the support and the relationships you need to be successful”
Barb Lau, Executive Director
WHO WE ARE
The Association of Women Contractors is driven by just one goal – to empower women business owners and service providers
OUR CORE VALUES:
- Enriching Our Membership
- Construction Industry Leadership
- Strong Advocacy
Since its inception in 1995, the AWC has grown into a diverse community of more than 200 professionals working on some of the biggest commercial, residential and transportation projects in the state of Minnesota.
What differentiates the AWC from any other construction associations? The willingness of its members to lend a helping hand. Teamwork and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do.
Which is why our members can always trust each other for professional guidance and assistance even in the toughest of crises.
WHO WE SERVE
The Association of Women Contractors serves you – the talented women business owners and professionals in the Minnesota construction industry.
We’re an unwavering voice for women empowerment and tirelessly work for the promotion of women-owned businesses in Minnesota.
Although our focus and core services are directed at Women Business Owners in construction, our other membership categories encompass non-women owned businesses as well.
We’re here to not only highlight your work and show the world what you’re capable of but also to help you claim the opportunities you deserve by growing your professional network, connecting you with influential industry leaders, and representing your voice in policymaking.
AWC is comprised of reliable professionals, partners you can trust, and well-wishers who’re willing and ready to collaborate. Because for us, nothing matters more than helping you succeed
Meet Our Board of Directors
We are a governing Board of Directors responsible for setting the vision and focus of AWC.
We are available to share our expertise and assist our members.
Board members are elected to 3 year terms by AWC members.
